links.
Whenthetransmissionlinkmarkedinredinthemiddleofthetransmissionlinks
encountersabidirectionalconnectivityfailure,switchCandswitchDarestillinUPstate.
Ifthebidirectionalconnectivitydetectionfunctionisnotenabledforthetransmissionlink,
switchCandswitchDwillnotbeabletoperceivethisfailureandforthisreasonZESR
linkswitchingwillnotbetriggered.
Ifthelink-hellolinkconnectivitydetectionfunctionisenabledontheportsthroughwhich
switchCandswitchDareinterconnectedwitheachother,theseportswillperiodicallysend
link-hellodetectionpacketstoeachother.Ifaportdoesnotreceivethelink-hellodetection
packetfromthepeerportwithinaspeciedtimeperiod,theswitchwillconsiderthisasa
linkfailure.Thedevicewillimmediatelyblocktheportsonthelinkandinformthemaster
nodetoimplementlinkswitching.
