19. Run at least three background counts. Check that the background counts are
acceptable before running controls or patient samples.
20. If the counts are unacceptable, troubleshoot accordingly (refer to Section 10:
Troubleshooting and Diagnostics; Subsection: Troubleshooting Guide).
Rerun samples and confirm that problem is resolved.
21. Record the completion of this procedure in the maintenance log.
