Monthly Maintenance Procedures
WARNING: Potential Biohazard. Wear gloves, lab coats, and safety
glasses and follow other biosafety practices as specified in the OSHA
Bloodborne Pathogen Rule (29 CFR Part 1910.1030) or other equivalent
biosafety procedures.
Fan Filter Cleaning
There is an air filter on the rear panel of the Analyzer. The filter requires monthly
removal and cleaning to maintain a constant, unrestricted air flow.
NOTE: More frequent cleaning is required whenever the instrument is located in
a particularly dusty or warm area.
Figure 9.7 shows the location of the fan.
