Section 10 Troubleshooting and Diagnostics
Loader Fault 148: tube dropped during mixing/BL
A tube was sensed as missing from tube position 3 or 4 after the mixing cycle.
– - Probable Cause – - Corrective Action
1. A tube slipped out of a Tube Gripper
in the Mix Head.
a. The tube has liquid on it.

Gripper in the Mix Head.
a. Remove the Loader Cover. Dry
the tube. Then, reinstall the
Loader Cover, reset the racks,
and reset the Sample Loader by
pressing following keys in order:
[CLEAR FAULT],
[START LOADER],
[RESET LOADER].
b. The Mix Head Tube Gripper is
dirty.
b. Remove the Loader Cover.
Using a DYN-A-WIPE pad or
lint-free wipe moistened with a
0.5% sodium hypochlorite
solution, clean the Mix Head
Tube Gripper. (See the formula
for mixing this solution under
Section 9: Service and
Maintenance; Subsection:
Decontamination Procedures.)
Repeat with deionized water.
Then, reinstall the Loader Cover,
reset the racks, and reset the
Sample Loader.
2. A failure of the sensor system or
related electronics has occurred.
2. Remove the Loader Cover. Using a
DYN-A-WIPE pad or lint-free
wipe moistened with lens cleaner or
deionized water, clean the tube
sensors. Dry the sensors
thoroughly. Then, reinstall the
Loader Cover, reset the racks, and
reset the Sample Loader.
NOTE: For the location of the tube
sensors, refer to the figure
in Section 13: Sample
Loader; Subsection:
Processing Stations.
3. A failure of the bladder or bladder
pressure system has occurred.

Customer Support Center.
