9.3.1. Prevent damage to the touchscreen
Information valid for all touchscreen types, resistive and PCT.
Keep the touchscreen clean.
To not touch the touchscreen with pointed, sharp, rough or hard objects, e.g. ball point pens, writing
implements, tools of any kind (e.g. screwdrivers).
Prevent any kind of adhesive applied on the surface.
Ensure that the screen surface is not influenced by high voltages or static electricity.
Do not use excessive force when touching touchscreens, do not hit or press hard.
Do not put the device down with the touchscreen facing down, if necessary, place a clean cloth
underneath.
9.3.2. Operating the resistive touchscreen
Operate the resistive touchscreen with:
− Clean, dry fingers.
− Clean, dry, soft gloves.
− Suitable touch stylus (plastic or wood, rounded tip).
9.3.3. Operating the PCT touchscreen
Operate the PCT touchscreen with:
− Clean, dry fingers.
− Clean, dry, thin gloves.
− Suitable touch stylus with capacitive (electrically conductive) tip.
NOTICE: Property damage
Water on the PCT touchscreen can be interpreted as a "touch" and lead to malfunctions.
Multi-touch capability
Depending on the installed operating system type, the PCT touchscreen of the DLT-V83 is multi-touch
capable. This means it can detect two touches simultaneously.
