5.2 Manually Remove a Blockage From the Feed Channel Floor
Before starting the procedure
NOTE: If the Hydroflexcontrol cannot remove the blockage, it is necessary to do this procedure.
Before starting the procedure
WARNING: Magnetic fields.
Do not do work on the magnets of the blade holders if you have a cardiac pacemaker or
other implant. Magnetic fields can have an eect on their operation.
WARNING: Movement.
Unusual movement of the reverse lever when attached to the machine drive can cause
injury.
Make sure that you disengage the Power Take-O (PTO) shaft from the tractor.
WARNING: Injury.
Do not remove blockage by hand or by foot.
Procedure
1. Disengage the PTO shaft.
2. Stop the tractor engine and remove the key.
3. Disconnect the electrical connection between the tractor and the machine.
4. All parts that move must stop before you continue to the subsequent step.
5. Disconnect the drive shaft PTO.
6. Lift the wind guard and use the chain to attach it.
7. Open the side cover on the right.
8. NOTE: The reverse wrench is supplied with
the standard machine. For a machine with
Hydroflexcontrol, the reverse wrench is
optional.
Put the reverse wrench on the sprocket.
9. Turn the reverse wrench counterclockwise to
release the blockage. When you have
released the blockage from the machine
continue with the subsequent steps:
a) Remove the reverse wrench
b) Using an applicable tool to remove the
material from the pick-up
c) Close the side cover
d) Set the wind guard to the initial position
e) Connect the drive shaft PTO
f) Connect the electrical connection between the tractor and the machine.
