AVR8414 Operation Manual Rev O
Modes
The front panel is the primary display to determine the current recorder mode of operation.
Each of the three virtual channels has seven possible modes. See the table below for an
explanation of these modes.
Table 5 - Modes
PRVA
The DVR channels will by default boot into the Previous Armed mode to allow
users to begin recording quickly using the same settings that were used on
the previous session. This mode requires that identical inputs and media type
are present. If these conditions are not met for a channel, that channel will
revert to Ready.
RDY
The Ready mode tells the user that this channel is available for recording or
playback.
RECA
The Record Armed mode means that the channel has been configured to
record and is awaiting the command to record from the front panel.
RECT
The Record Triggered mode means that the channel has been configured to
record and is awaiting the command to record from a discrete input.
REC
The Recording mode alerts users that the channel is actively recording.
RBKA
Reachback Armed allows the customer to begin a recording at a previous
point in time, specified in the Recording > Reachback OSD menu, before the
record button was pressed.
RBKT
Reachback Triggered allows the customer to begin a recording at a previous
point in time that is triggered by a discrete.
PLYA
The Playback Armed mode allows the user to play a file when the play button
is pressed. The playback target is either the most recent file or a pre-
selected file from the file list.
PLAY
The Play mode alerts users that the channel is being used to play back a video
file.
