Troubleshooting Guide
Front Panel Screen is Blank
The front panel screen could be blank because low dimming settings were configured through
the front panel or a configuration file. These steps will reset the dimming settings to their
default values:
1. Make sure the recorder is not in Night mode by pressing the Day/Night button.
2. Press the Softkey 4 MENU button and navigate to the Configure > Dimming page. On
this page, navigate to the OLED Display tab. Increase the “Max” and “Min” values for
OLED Luminance Day and Night values.
3. Press the Softkey 4 MENU button and navigate to the Configure > Discretes page. On
this page, verify that the “Front Panel Dimming” discrete is disabled. If the discrete is
disabled, press the Day/Night button to get into Day mode. If the discrete is not
disabled, ensure that the discrete input is set to Day mode.
4. If a configuration file is loaded, it may be setting the dimming values to a low value on
device power up. If a configuration file is loaded, a lock icon will appear on the bottom
status bar of the OSD. Press the Softkey 4 MENU button and navigate to the System >
Configuration File page to disable the configuration file.
5. Dimming settings can be reset by holding down the Day/Night button for 6 seconds and
then pressing the ENT button.
