Setting up the XT Series
About this task
When you start the XT Series endpoints for the first time, the Quick Setup Wizard guides you
through the steps for applying the Avaya Meetings Server SIP settings to the new endpoint. You
can also use this method if you have an Avaya Equinox
®
Meetings Online account. You can also
relaunch the wizard at any time to refresh your configuration settings.
The discovery process operates as follows:
If Avaya Aura
®
is present, it provides:
- The SIP configuration information for registering to Avaya Aura
®
.
- The virtual room number of the local on premises Avaya Meetings Server deployment if
available.
If Avaya Equinox
®
Meetings Online is present, it provides:
- The virtual room number of the Avaya Equinox
®
Meetings Online cloud service if
available.
Before you begin
Make a note of the login credentials for your Avaya Meetings Server or Avaya Equinox
®
Meetings
Online deployment.
Procedure
1. Do one of the following:
From the XT Series web interface, select Basic Settings > Quick Setup.
From the XT Series endpoint, start the XT Series endpoint for the first time.
XT Series displays the quick setup wizard.
2. From the XT Series endpoint, select your preferred language from the drop-down list.
3. Click Next.
4. Select Easy to Start.
5. Click Next.
6. Type your email address, including the company domain, or your company domain only
(@yourcompanydomain).
This can be your Avaya Equinox
®
Meetings Online email address.
7. (Optional) If this is an Avaya Equinox
®
Meetings Online account, type your personal
credentials for Avaya Equinox
®
Meetings Online.
8. Click Next.
9. Choose the deployment environment you want to join.
The wizard requests your login credentials for Avaya Meetings Server or Avaya Equinox
®
Meetings Online. Depending on the deployment environment, the wizard requests your
personal credentials (username/password) or for a SIP extension and password. If your
