Depending on the location of the XT Series, a unidirectional port might be inbound to the
organization or outbound from the organization.
Important:
On stateful firewalls, ports are left open to response data for an allocated period of time after
the initial request. For unidirectional ports, this response is the only data allowed through in
the opposite direction. On bidirectional ports, data can be initiated and sent through in both
directions.
