WARNING
Risk of damage to persons and property as a result of changing essential control
parameters while the ship is in motion
If the basic setup of control parameters is changed while the ship is in motion, this may lead
to sudden and uncontrolled ship movements.
O Only change basic control parameters with the engine in stop while the ship is anchored
or moored.
O Fine adjustments during a sea trial are only admissible after prior consultation of the
ship‘s captain. The safety of the crew and other waterway users must not be
endangered.
O Parameters in Marex 3D must only be changed by qualified personnel as per chapter 2.4.
Appropriate steps must be taken to prevent that control is lost over the ship as a result of
erroneous parameter entries (ensure local operation of gearbox, engine, thrusters).
CAUTION
Risk of damage to persons and property as a consequence of uncoordinated thruster
operation
There is a risk of accident if the thrusters are operated from different controls at the same
time.
O Make sure the thrusters are only operated by one person at a time.
O Disable the thruster operation at all other control stations, including any supplementary
thruster controls by other manufacturers, as long as the thrusters are being operated
from a Marex 3D control station. This is a safety requirement for ships with classification
approval.
