Settings will be made to define which drives are actuated when
maneuvering in the 3D mode. At the end, Marex 3D can be fine-
adjusted in order to achieve a maximum of safety and comfort.
This chapter describes the preparations before commissioning
Marex3D.
O We recommend to proceed in the order as described.
6.1.1 Software requirements of Marex OS and
Marex ECS
A minimum software version is required for the operation of
Marex 3D with Marex ECS and Marex OSIII.
O Make sure your Marex system is equipped with software
which is suitable for the operation of Marex 3D:
W Marex OS III from software version O3WG V7.01.10x.
Refer to the type plate of the Marex OS MPC for information
on the software version.
W Marex ECS from software version 2.2.2 (control head).
Refer to the type plate of the Marex ECS control head for
information on the software version.
6.1.2 Verifying the correct system installation
The components of Marex 3D have probably been mounted and
installed on board by a third party.
O Use the wiring diagram and system documentation to check
if all components have been properly mounted and
connected at appropriate installation sites.
O Make sure terminating resistors and protective caps have
been applied where necessary.
O Pay special attention to the grounding of the components.
6.1.3 Installation sites
Make sure that installation sites of the Joystick Type 531 and
3D Controller meet the requirements as described in the
assembly instructions. See also chapter 1.2, Required and
additional documentation on page 6.
