10 Troubleshooting
10.1 General
MarexOS remote controls provide extensive self-diagnostics
and monitor permanently the condition of their components and
the ship drives. In case of a failure, the operator is alerted by
visual and acoustic signals on control head or joystick station.
There are different alarm signals depending on the impact of
the failure on the operability of the drives. Every alarm must be
acknowledged by pushing a corresponding key on the active
station. This will mute the buzzer. Every MarexOS Controller
provides an error display by means of which it is possible
identify alarm causes.
For errors in the MarexOSII/III-system refer to the
MarexOSII/III service manual, chapter 3 . For trouble
shooting with Marex ECS, refer to the Marex ECS Quick
Guide. see also chapter 1.2, Required and additional
documentation, on page 6.
10.2 Marex 3D
Marex 3D provides a separate control unit. If the 3D Controller
detects a failure, it will trigger an alarm which will be signaled
at the joystick.
Errors which concern MarexOS III or Marex ECS will be
relayed to Marex 3D and signaled to the operator.
