The thruster indicator lights up and remains lit.
Thruster mode is active. You can operate the thrusters via
the joystick.
NOTICE! When the Command indicator at the joystick is lit and
the thruster mode is active, the main propulsions are idling with
the transmissions disengaged. Switch the thruster mode off to
regain the control over the main propulsions.
7.4.1 Switching the thruster mode off
The thruster mode is active. The thruster indicator is lit.
O Push the thruster key.
The thruster mode switches off.
The thruster indicator switches off.
The thruster mode will switch off automatically after defined
time (default setting 5 mins) if it is not used and a control head
is active at the same time. It will also switch off if the control
head lever is moved beyond a defined position.
7.5 Maneuvering in the 3D mode
The illustrations in the following chapter show the steering
possibilities in the 3D and thruster mode. To perform the
maneuvers, the joystick can be pushed for-, back- and
sideward. In addition, the top of the joystick is rotatable.
With every movement, the amount of thrust can be adjusted by
varying the joystick’s travel.
For a better overview, the maneuvers are shown for one
heading only. Such illustrations apply correspondingly for
the opposite direction (in brackets).
