6.1.4.2 Verifying the connection of the thrusters
O Refer to chapter 5.3.5, Connecting the thrusters, on page 50
to review the correct connection of the thrusters to the 3D
Controller.
The 3D Controller provides three bistable relay outputs
(terminal block X7, DO2, DO3, DO4). In order to prevent an
uncontrolled restart of the thrusters after a power failure, a
monostable relay, for example DO5, DO6, must be
connected upstream those bistable relays.
O Check if a monostable relay is provided between the relay
outputs of the 3D Controller and the thruster control box.
Connect one if necessary.
6.2 Preadjusting the 3D Controller
All components are now correctly connected and ready for
operation. The next step is to make basic settings in the
3D Controller and in the Marex OS MPC, if applicable, in order to
enable the operation of Marex 3D.
6.2.1 Operation of the display
To read and change system parameters, the 3D Controller and
Marex OS MPC provide a display with operation elements, see
also chapter 4.3.2.2, Display, on page 33.
O To access the display, remove the cover of the 3D Controller
or Marex OS MPC (if applicable). See also fig. 12, 3D
Controller, cover with fastening screws on page 40.
For the operation, 2 buttons, S4 and S5, are provided.
