4.3.3 Heading sensor

The heading sensor includes a three-axis, electronic compass
and supplies Marex 3D with precise data on the ship‘s position.
Under dynamic conditions with rough seas, the heading sensor
performs with 2° heading accuracy. In static condition, an
accuracy of 1° is achieved. The device fulfills protection class
IPX6. The sensor is connected to the 3D Controller by a
NMEA2000 cable, see also chapter 9, Accessories, on page 92.

4.4 Applied standards and classification
The components of Marex3D have been designed in accordance
with the rules of major classification societies.
