Chapter 19 Initial Startup Procedure of Cube®
3) Load ShineMitt® Cleaning Material onto Hubs
3a) Load ShineMitt® onto Side Wheel Hubs (cont.)
8) To disassemble the ShineMitt® hold it with the Clips pointing upward and the cleaning
fingers pointing away from you. Rotate the two Clips 90 degrees and push them toward
you to unsnap them from the Pin. Refer to Steps 8a-8c in images below.
Step 8b: Rotate Clips 90 degrees.
Step 8c: Push Clips inward to unsnap
from Pin.
Step 9: Carefully slide the Pin out of the
ShineMitt®.
Step 8a: Pin head needs
to be on other side.
Step 10: Turn Pin 180° & insert into
the opposite side of ShineMitt®.
Step11a: Push Clips outward to snap
onto Pin.
Step 11b: Rotate Clips back 90 degrees.
Step 11c: Pin head now
on the opposite side.
9) Carefully slide the Pin out of the ShineMitt® and the Clips should stay in place, see Step 9
in image above.
10) Turn the Pin 180 degrees & insert it back into the ShineMitt® on the opposite side, see
Step 10 in image above.
11) After the Pin is fully inserted into the mitt push the Clips outward until they snap onto the
Pin and then rotate the Clips 90 degrees, so they are pointing upward again, refer to Steps
11a-11c in images above.
12) Once there is an equal amount of ShineMitts® in each length for the driver and passenger
side assemblies they can be loaded onto the appropriate Side Wheel Hub assembly.
13) As stated before, the ShineMitts® on the driver side and passenger side Hub Assemblies
are to face in opposite directions of one another. Before loading the ShineMitts® orient
them so that the cleaning fingers face in the directions specified in the images below.

Fill ALL the slots in the Side Wheel Hubs,
as shown in the enlarged view above (DS Hub shown).
Make sure that the ShineMitt® is facing in the correct direction
on both Cube® Side Wheels, refer to the images above.
