Operational Noise Setting Details
Power transistors (IGBT) at the output of the inverter generate and
supply a high frequency switching voltage to the motor. This switching
speed is refered to as the carrier frequency. Adustment of the carrier
frequency affects motor operating noise. A higher carrier frequency
reduces operational noise. A lower carrier frequency increases
operational noise.

and capacity.

Note
Higher carrier frequency settings require derating of the output current of the
inverter. For derating specifications, refer to 11.6 Continuous Current Derating on
page 263.
