8.2 Check hoses
Always handle hoses (high-pressure and low-pressure
hoses) with care and check before use. Hoses are to
be replaced if checking reveals the following signs of
damage:
R Cracks, brittle areas, abrasion or blistering at the
hose jacket
R Kinked hose
R Stiff union nuts or quick-release couplings
R Deformed or damaged hose connection end (sealing
cone, plug-in nipple, etc.)
R Leakage at fitting
R Corrosion at fitting if strength is reduced as a result
R Service life exceeded (refer to Section 8.3)
! Damaged hoses are not to be repaired.
8.3 Replace high-pressure hose
Replace high-pressure hoses (operating pressure great-
er than 60 bar) after 3 years (refer to date of manufac-
ture on high-pressure hose) even if there are no appar-
ent defects of relevance to safety.
