7. IF YOU REPLACE THE DOCUMENT

<What to do after replacement>
• Acquiring white level data (function code: 55)
7.1 Acquiring White Level Data (function code: 55)
(1) Enter maintenance mode, and press the [5] button twice. "Press START" is displayed on
the LCD.
(2) Press the [Start] button. "SCANNER AREA SET" is displayed on the LCD, and the white
level data is acquired.
(3) After several seconds, the compensation value for the white level data/scanning width is
stored in the EEPROM, and the machine returns to the initial state of maintenance
mode. Press the [9] button twice to return the machine to the ready state.
