(6) Remove the CIS carriage from the CIS drive belt.

(7) Remove the first side CIS flat cable attached on the back of the CIS carriage from the
double-sided tape.
(8) Remove the first side CIS flat cable from the document scanner bottom cover ASSY.

• Be sure to replace the double-sided tape with a new one, after taking off the first
side CIS flat cable from the double-sided tape.
