autopiloffyaw damper can be overpowered.

PRESS. Verify that the autopilot
and yaw damper (optional) disconnects and all flight director
modes are canceled.

PREFLIGHT

Perform steps 1 thru 12 prior to each flight.

INVERTER Switch

SELECT 1 or

instruments as well as for autopilot operation. Turn OFF prior to
engine shut down.

3. Gyros -Allow 3-4 minutes for gyros to come up to speed.

disengaged.

PRFLT TEST Button

PRESS and HOLD. All KFC-250 System
mode annunciators should illuminate, including the marker lights
on the KA-285 Mode Annunciator. In addition. the red
TRlM
failure light in the annunciator panel should flash'at least four but
not more than six times and be accomoanied bv an aural alert to
indicate correct trim monitoring.
