ENGINE INSTRUMENTS

PROPELLER RPM INDICATOR
The propeller RPM indicator is located on the upper portion of the
instrument panel. The instrument is marked in increments of 50 RPM
and indicates propeller speed in revolutions per minute. The instrument
is electrically operated from the propeller tachometer-generator which
is mounted on the right side of the front case. lnstrument markings
indicate a normal operating range (green arc) of from 1600 to 1900
RPM and a maximum (red line) of 1900 RPM.
ITT INDICATOR
The ITT (interturbine temperature) indicator is located on the upper
portion of the instrument panel. The instrument displays the gas
temperature between the compressor and power turbines. lnstrument
markings indicate a normal operating range (green arc) of from 100°C
to
740°C, and a maximum (red line) of 805°C. Also, instrument
markings indicate a maximum starting temperature (red triangle) of
1090°C.

RPM INDICATOR
The
Ng RPM indicator is located on the upper portion of the instrument
panel. The instrument indicates the percent of gas generator RPM
based on a figure of 100% at 37,500 RPM. The instrument is
electrically-operated from the gas generator tachometer-generator
mounted on the lower right-hand portion of the accessory case.
lnstrument markings indicate a normal operating range (green arc) of
from 52% to 101.6% and a maximum (red line) of 101.6%.

later paragraph in this section.
