If a message is displayed showing which COM port number was chosen
(look for a “bubble” in the lower-right corner of the screen), make a note of
it.
5 Confirm that the COM port selected for the USB matches the port selected in
the host computer's ICP software.
Establishing a GUI COM Connection (RS-232)
1 Connect a serial cable from a port on the host computer to the GUI COM serial
port on the electronics module, following the same procedure as for the OEM
COM port.
Note the number of the COM port on the host computer. You will need to
provide the correct COM port when you use the Xpress Configuration Tool
software.
Establishing a GUI COM Connection (USB)
1 Connect a USB cable from a port on the host computer to the GUI COM USB
port on the electronics module, following the same procedure as for the OEM
COM port.
You will need to install the USB driver, even if you already installed the
driver for the OEM COM port.
Note the number of the COM port on the host computer. You will need to
provide the correct COM port when you use the Xpress Configuration Tool
software.
