Programmed Keystation keys in Key system mode
The Keystation keys are programmed with Lines 1-8 in the case of the Standard keystation
and Lines 1-16 in the case of the Executive keystation.
If the system is programmed with a PRI Access pressing Line 1 will request a B channel from
the network. The line offered may not be the first B Channel. However the Led associated
with Line 1 key will light on all Keystations.
Any backup Lines equipped will be numbered Line 31 - 34 or Access 1 - 2.
If more than 16 Line keys are required the keys on a DSS console can be programmed. The
same procedure applies to these keys. In the case of PRI Access the network will determine
the B Channel.
Line presentation in the Keystation display
When a switch is equipped with PSTN Lines only the lines are presented as Line 1, Line 2 etc
on the Keystation display when an external consultation, transfer or conference is invoked.
In the case of PRI the numbering will be the same, but when a line is selected the network
will determine which B-Channel is used. Any backup Lines will be numbered Line 31 - 34.
