Fuel System
Fuel Tank
Removal
 Gasoline is extremely flammable and is
explosive under certain conditions. Work in a
well ventilated area with the engine stopped.
Do not smoke or allow flames or sparks in the
area where gasoline is drained or stored and
where the fuel tank is refueled.
 Loosen the speedometer cable screw.
 Remove the L. front side cover.
 Remove the seat.( 12-2)
 Turn the fuel cock OFF and remove the fuel
tube.
 Remove a fuel tank mounting bolt.
 Remove fuel unit wire coupler.
 Remove the fuel tank.
 If there is not enough fuel supply from the fuel
cock, drain the gasoline from the tank and
clean the strainer screen after removing the
fuel cock.
Installation
 Install the fuel tank in the reverse order of
removal.
 Check for the oil leakage.
 When the fuel is needed, the fuel alarm lamp is
lighted.
 Fill the fuel at gas station.
