DeviceNet cabling
POWERXL SERIES VFD MN040010EN—June 2018 www.eaton.com
DeviceNet cabling
When using DeviceNet, it uses a basic trunk-line/drop-line
topology with separate twisted pair busses for both signal
and power distribution. Wire diameter for the trunk and
drop lines may vary, and the distance will be determined
by baud rate and cable size. In this topology, devices are
powered directly from the bus and communicate with each
other using the same cable. Nodes can also be removed or
inserted into the network without powering it down.
