4 Function description
The DryExx®-Advanced-ETH controls a Lubo-DryExx
®
metering station for the automatic
supply of track lubricant to DryExx
®
conveyor track lubrication systems.
The complete DryExx
®
system consists of the control system DryExx®-Advanced-ETH,
the Lubo-DryExx
®
metering station and the standard pipe and nozzle system.
4.1
DryExx
®
lubrication function
When a lubrication circuit is activated, a compressed air diaphragm pump starts and
the pressure of the conveyor track lubricant in the piping system is raised. Following
an adjustable run-up period, the lubrication circuit valve opens for an adjustable period
of time set during commissioning and the track lubricant is applied to the conveyor
belt tracks via the nozzle system. The required lubricant pressure is adjusted by the
compressed air filter regulator in the applicator station. T
o achieve the optimal spraying
pattern, the pressure on the nozzles should be 0.2–0.25 MPa (2–2.5 bar).
Once the set nozzle time (or spray) time has elapsed, the pump is stopped. The bleeder
valve in the applicator station is opened, which releases the pressure on the entire line
and nozzle system. The lubrication circuit valve is closed once the specified pressure
relief time has elapsed.
The pressure relief is carried out via a return line directly into the container. An empty
message is generated by a float contact in the suction lance and processed and displayed
at the control unit. The applicator pump used is protected against dry running and is
self-priming.
If the average pressure reaches the pre-set control air pressure, the pump switches off
automatically.
