3.4. Signals when using a crane
DANGER
If it is not possible to see the load and the entire working area clearly, the crane
operator must follow the instructions and signals given by a qualified person.
The country-specific regulations for crane operator signals are to be used.
Signals in this manual give a number of standard signals that can be used.
Lift
Raised arm and index finger raised. Circular motion with
the hand.
Lower
Arm pointing downwards and index finger down. Circular
motion with the hand.
Stop all crane movements / Hold the load in position
Raise the open hand, with the palm clearly visible, and arm
at shoulder height.
Keep the hand still.
