view. Airports, runways, VORs, NDBs, airways, fi xes,
markers, DMEs, localizers, glideslopes, Flight Information
Region (FIR) boundaries, country borders, comments
and communication frequencies are all graphically and/or
textually represented. Pressing the Profi le button brings
up a profi le view (similar to the profi le view on an approach
plate). Other knobs, buttons, and data windows located
around the pe riph ery of the main map display are used to
control the following items, discussed in detail later in this
sec tion.
