• Ifйthin-walledйpipesйcarryingйfoodйareйweldedйcorrectly,йtheйsealйisйnotйdamagedйby
theйheatйevenйwhenйmounted.йNeverthelessйitйisйadvisableйtoйremoveйtheйsensorйand
seal.
• Itйmustйbeйpossibleйtoйopenйtheйpipeйbyйapprox.й8йmmйс0.31йin)йinйtotalйtoйpermit
disassembly.

Mounting the seals
Complyйwithйtheйfollowingйinstructionsйwhenйinstallingйseals:
• Whenйmountingйtheйprocessйconnections,йmakeйsureйthatйtheйsealsйconcernedйareйclean
andйcenteredйcorrectly.
• Inйtheйcaseйofйmetalйprocessйconnections,йtheйscrewsйmustйbeйtightenedйsecurely.йThe
processйconnectionйformsйaйmetalйconnectionйwithйtheйsensor,йwhichйensuresйaйdefined
compressionйofйtheйseal.
• Inйtheйcaseйofйplasticйprocessйconnections,йcomplyйwithйtheйmax.йscrewйtighteningйtorques
forйlubricatedйthreads:й7йNmйс5.2йlbfйft).йInйtheйcaseйofйplasticйflanges,йalwaysйinsertйa
sealйbetweenйtheйconnectionйandйtheйcounterflange.
• Dependingйonйtheйapplicationйtheйsealsйshouldйbeйreplacedйperiodically,йparticularlyйif
moldedйsealsйareйusedйсasepticйversion)кйTheйintervalйbetweenйchangesйdependsйonйthe
frequencyйofйtheйcleaningйcycles,йtheйcleaningйtemperatureйandйtheйmediumйtemperature.
