Paper feed motor drive circuit
When printing journal (receipt), slip, and validation paper,
paper feeding is performed by driving the paper feed motor
in the printer mechanism via the paper feed motor drive
circuit shown in Figure 2-51. Switching between the vari-
ous printing modes is accomplished by the drive circuits for
the slip switching magnet and clutch magnet described
later in this section.
As with the carriage motor drive circuit, the paper feed
motor phase signals PFR1 (pin 3) and PFR2 (pin 2) output
by the CPU (U12) are supplied to the paper feed motor by
this circuit as four phase drive signals (PF_A, PF_B, PF_C,
and PF_D). The PFR_HL signal, which controls the hold
state of the motor, is output from the P65 terminal (pin 4) of
the CPU (U12). Figure 2-50 shows the timing chart for the
drive signals (PFR1 and PFR2) and the PFR_HL signal.
