5.2.2 Removing the Print Head Unit

Disassembly Procedure
• Open the Cover.
• Remove the Ribbon cassette.
• Push the Lever-Ribbon frame toward you and open the Ribbon frame assembly by turning it in the ➡
direction.
• Remove the Print head unit from the printer and disconnect the FFC-Print head from the print head unit
connector.
<Checkpoint>
• Position the Print head unit in the area of the head positioning mark ( ) after replacing the
print head; then close the Ribbon frame assembly.
<Adjustment>
• Adjust the platen gap as described in
Adjustment D in Section 5.3.4.
