6.6. FIBER CONTROL TAB (-F OPTION ONLY)
The Fiber control Tab shows various monitoring status’ and overall health of the SFP modules inserted
into the rear-plate. These include Part Name, Firmware, Laser receive power and Laser transmit
wavelength. Various SFP health traps can also be configured on this tab. The following section
describes these monitors in more detail.
6.6.1. Fiber Rx
6.6.1.1. Part Number
This parameter reports full part name of SFP fiber Rx module
6.6.1.2. Firmware
This parameter reports SFP fiber Rx module firmware version information
6.6.1.3. Version
This parameter reports SFP fiber Rx module firmware identifier
6.6.1.4. Laser Receive Power
This parameter reports fiber Rx receive power status
6.6.1.5. Low Power Fault Threshold
This parameter selects the threshold in dBm to trigger a fiber Rx low power fault
6.6.2. Fiber Tx
6.6.2.1. Part Number
This parameter reports full part name of SFP fiber Tx module
6.6.2.2. Firmware
This parameter reports SFP fiber Tx module firmware identifier
6.6.2.3. Version
This parameter reports SFP fiber Tx module firmware version information
6.6.2.4. Laser Wavelenght
This parameter reports SFP fiber Tx laser wavelength in nanometres (nm)
6.6.3. Trap Status
To enable a specific Fault trap, click the small box beside the relevant fault and ensure that a check mark
appears in the box. To disable a specific Fault trap, click the small box beside the relevant fault and
ensure that a check mark does not appear in the box.
