37.5 PANAFALL (PANADAPTER/WATERFALL)
37.5.1 Panadapter Definition
A Panadapter is a visual spectrum display of radio frequencies (RF). Frequency is listed along the
horizontal axis from lower to higher frequency, from left to right, measured in Megahertz (MHz).
Amplitude is shown on the vertical axis measured in decibels (dB). The moving white line represents
RF coming into the radio. The Panadapter is where most radio operation will occur. The FLEX-6000
series radios can display multiple Panadapters simultaneously each with their own frequency and
bandwidth.
