2-3-2. SDI Input/Output Cards
MFR-3000 units allow Input/Output cards to be installed into slots on the rear panel.
 Removing input /output cards
(1) To remove an installed card while the MFR-3000 power is on, turn OFF the
corresponding I/O card power switch (set the switch to down). *
(2) Press SET for a second, then remove the card.
 Installing input /output cards
(1) To install a card while the MFR-3000 power is on, MFR-3000, verify that the
corresponding I/O card power switch is turned OFF (the switch is down). *
(2) Press SET for a second, then insert the card.
(3) Turn ON the I/O card power switch (set the switch up). *
(4) Press SET for a second.
* To power off an installed MFR-16MV card using I/O card power switches, two power
switches (for two slots) must be turned off.
Card power shutdown can be performed in the Slot Status page on the Web-based
Control.
2-3-3. CPU Card Installation and Removal
CPU cards can be installed or removed with the MFR-3000 power turned on as shown
below.
IMPORTANT
Do not touch any other parts on the card. Static electricity may damage sensitive
electrical components on the card.
 Removing an installed MFR-30CPU card

(1) Turn OFF the power switch on the MFR-30CPU rear panel.
(2) Release the screws on the both sides of the MFR-30CPU rear panel.
(3) Grasp the handle and the card gently straight out of the slot.
