1-2-4 Product description
1-2-4-1 Overview of the VIVID E9 ultrasound scanner
The VIVID E9 ultrasound unit is a high performance digital ultrasound imaging system with total data
management.
The system provides image generation in 4D, 2D (B) Mode, Color Doppler, Power Doppler (Angio), M-
Mode, Color M-Mode, PW and CW Doppler spectra, Tissue Velocity imaging, Advanced Strain and
Contrast applications. The fully digital architecture of the VIVID E9 unit allows optimal usage of all
scanning modes and probe types, throughout the full spectrum of operating frequencies.
Signal flow from the Probe Connector Panel to the Front End, and then over to the Back End Processor
and finally to the monitor and peripherals.
System configuration is stored on the hard drive in the Back End Processor.
All necessary software is loaded from the hard drive on power up.

The operator manuals should be fully read and understood before operating the VIVID E9.
The online versions of the operator manuals are available via the Help function on VIVID E9’s operator
panel.
