9.2.2 The Cut Results Are Unsatisfactory
Solution
Adjust the OFFSET setting.
Corners are too rounded: Raise the
OFFSET value.
Corners are too pointed: Lower the
OFFSET value.
Remove any foreign matter in the
holder.
Raise the OFFSET FORCE setting.
*The cutter pens OFFSET FORCE
and the cutting FORCE are two dif-
ferent functions.
Replace the blade with a new one
equipped with a spring.
Adjust the extended length of the
cutters blade.
Lower the SPEED setting to reduce
the cutting speed.
Rewrite the software applications cutting
data to specify more coordinate points
for smoother curves.
Raise the OFFSET ANGLE setting.
Adjust the extended length of the
cutters blade.

Symptom
The cut corners are too round

The mediums corners peel off.
The medium peels off when cutting
small characters.
Cause
The OFFSET setting is not
suitable for the blade type
being used.
The blade does not rotate
smoothly in the holder.
The OFFSET FORCE set-
ting is too low.
The spring has come loose
from the CB09UA blade.
The cutters blade is ex-
tended too far.
The cutting speed is too fast.
The software applications
cutting data is too coarse.
The OFFSET ANGLE set-
ting is too low.
