BATTERY ANTI-INVERSION DEVICE
In the event that the batteries are connected to the battery terminals with the polarity inverted, this device will protect the
CPS by interrupting the battery connections.
DEEP DISCHARGE PREVENTION
To protect the batteries and the device, the CPS is equipped with a
battery deep discharge prevention system as required by standard
50171.
In the event that this protection system cuts in, battery charging will
restart automatically once normal power supply to the CPS is
restored.
The deep discharge prevention system must be reset manually; for
this reason the display will clearly show an alarm related to this
protection system. This alarm will only disappear once the
protection system has been manually reset by pressing the Reset
button (see adjacent diagram).
BATTERY LOW
During battery operation, when autonomy is down to an estimated 10 minutes, before the deep discharge protection cuts
in, the CPS emits an acoustic signal to warn of the imminent interruption to the load (approximately 10 minutes after the
warning).
EXTERNAL PROTECTIVE DEVICES
MAGNETOTHERMAL
As explained previously, the CPS has protection devices for output faults as well as for internal faults.
In order to set up the power line, install a magnetothermal switch upstream from the CPS with intervention curve C.
Please follow the indications in the table below:
Automatic external protections
Separate bypass input (P+N)
If the protective device upstream from the CPS interrupts the neutral wire, it must also interrupt all the phase
wires at the same time (four-pole switch).
Output protections (recommended values for discrimination)
Normal switches (C curve)
