Wire gauge considerations
Before connecting the output terminals to a
load, the wire gauge of the cables should be
considered.
It is essential that the current capacity of the
load cables is adequate. The rating of the cables
must equal or exceed the maximum current
rated output of the instrument.
The maximum temperature rise can only be 60
degrees above the ambient temperature. The
ambient temperature must be less than 30
degrees.
To minimize noise pickup or radiation, the
load wires and remote sense wires should be
twisted-pairs of the shortest possible length.
Shielding of the sense leads may be necessary
