NOTE:
In other types of transmitters like LAX and HPX the TCU can’t be pivoted down-
ward. In these cases a stool or ladder may be used to gain easier access to the top
of the TCU unit.
STEP 4 Remove the top cover from the TCU to gain easier access to the
PCM card.
STEP 5 Locate the battery holder on the PCM card. Location is shown in
figure 5-30.
