Creating a Request for a CA-Issued Certificate
1. Navigate to System Security HTTPS (see Figure 7-3).
2. Under Install signed certificate, click Create Certificate Request.
3. Enter the required information in the Create Certificate Request fields (see Figure 7-5),
and then click OK.

A certificate request is created. The request appears under Created Request (see
Figure 7-3).
4. Click Properties in the Created Request area.
5. Copy the PEM-formatted request and send to a CA for signing.
After the signed certificate is returned, you can install it.
Installing a CA-Issued Certificate
1. Navigate to System Security HTTPS (see Figure 7-3).
2. Click Browse in the Upload signed certificate area. Locate and select the certificate on
your hard drive, and then click Open.
3. Click Upload.
Network Security Settings: IEEE 802.1X
IEEE 802.1X is an IEEE standard for port-based Network Access Control. When IEEE 802.1X is
enabled, the camera can access network ports protected by 802.1X/EAPOL (Extensible
Authentication Protocol over LAN).
