Scenarios
Scenario 1: The storage media where data is to be erased is not in a
redundant RAID array and the board OS is running properly. In this scenario,
use the Linux command badblocks to erase the storage media data.
Scenario 2: The storage medium is not in a redundant RAID array and the OS
is not running properly. In this scenario, use the Toolkit to erase the storage
media data.
Scenario 3: The storage medium is in a redundant RAID array. In this scenario,
migrate the storage medium to an idle server, mount the Toolkit to the idle
server, and erase data from the storage medium.

Scenario 1: The storage media where data is to be erased is not in a
redundant RAID array and the board OS is running properly.
Scenario 2: The storage medium is not in a redundant RAID array and the OS
is not running properly.

The number of the enclosure where the storage media is
The slot number of the storage media
Position of the storage media
Software
The Toolkit (File name: FusionServer Tools-Toolkit-Vxxx.zip) has been downloaded
and decompressed, and the image
le (File name: FusionServer Tools-Toolkit-
Vxxx.iso) is obtained after the decompression.
Hardware
An idle server is required in scenario 3.
Note
This operation uses the badblocks command of Linux to clear data from the
storage medium. The badblocks command is used to overwrite data on the
storage medium based on
specied parameters.
The methods described in this section are for reference only. You can also use
other methods to erase storage media data.
NO TICE
Exercise caution when performing this operation. The data erased cannot be
restored.
