Step 10 Lift the fan module slowly out of the RH2288H V3. See (2) in Figure 7-27.
Step 11 Place the removed fan module in an ESD bag.

7.16 Installing a Fan Module
Install a fan module to replace the original one or after replacing other
components (such as the mainboard and DVD-ROM drive).
Procedure
Step 1 Wear an ESD wrist strap. For details, see 1 Safety Instructions.
Step 2 Remove the fan module to be replaced. For details, see 7.15 Removing a Fan
Module.
Step 3 Take the spare fan module out of its ESD bag.
Step 4 Insert the fan module along the guide rails into the slot. Check that the fan cable
connector is securely inserted into the mainboard connector. See (1) in Figure
7-28.
