Step 11 Loosen the screws on the rear disk backplane. Remove the rear disk backplane by
taking it down. See steps (1) and (2) in Figure 7-140.

Step 12 Place the removed disk backplane in an ESD bag.

Install a rear drive backplane to replace the faulty one.
Procedure
Step 1 Wear an ESD wrist strap. For details, see 1 Safety Instructions.
Step 2 Remove the rear drive backplane to be replaced. For details, see 7.57 Removing
the Rear Hard Disk Backplane.
