5.7.4 Module Circuit Boards
Micro GC Fusion modules are controlled by two circuit boards: the GC module
controller board and the GC module interface board.
5.7.4.1 GC Module Controller Board
The GC module controller board receives commands from the Micro GC Fusion
software, performs hardware control of the GC module, and sends the data signal
back to the software. The GC module controller board is installed on the Micro GC
Fusion chassis frame and is connected to the GC module interface board.
5.7.4.2 GC Module Interface Board
The GC module interface board is the interface between the GC module controller
board and the analytical hardware components, including electronics on the injector,
the resistively heated GC column, and the detector assembly. The GC module
interface board is part of a GC module and attached to the GC module controller
board when it is installed into a Micro GC Fusion instrument.
