lifter
WARNING!
Riskofinjurybymovingparts
–Neverletobjectsgetcaughtinthespaceunderneatha
raisedlifter.
–Makesurethatneitheryounoranyoneelseisinjured
byplacinghands,feetotherbodyextremitiesunder
theraisedseat.
–Shouldyounotbeabletoviewundertheseat,for
example,duetolimitedmanoeuvrability,turnthe
wheelchaironceonitsownaxelbeforeyoulowerthe
seat.Thiswillallowyoutomakesurethatnobodyis
locatedinthedangerzone.
CAUTION!
Riskofinjuryifthewheelchairtipsover
–Neverexceedthemaximumpermissibleload(see
chapter12Technicaldata,page95
).
–Avoiddangerousdrivingsituationswhenthelifterisin
araisedposition,suchastryingtoovercomeobstacles
likekerbsordrivingupordownsteepgradients.
–Neverleanoutoftheseatwhenthelifterisraised.
–Inspecttheliftermoduleatleastonceamonthto
makesuretheautomaticspeedreductionfunction,
whichreducesthespeedofthewheelchairwhenthe
lifterisraised,isworkingproperly(seechapter6.10
TheLifter,page45
).Notifyyourauthoriseddealership
immediatelyifitisnotworkingproperly.

Riskofmalfunctionoftheliftermodule
–Inspecttheliftermoduleatregularintervalstomake
suretherearenoforeignobjectsorvisibledamage,
andtomakesuretheelectricplugsarefirmlyinserted
intotheirsockets.
CAUTION!
Damagetowheelchaircausedbyone-sided
loadingonlifterpillar
–One-sidedloadingoccursiftheseatisraisedand/or
tilted.Alwaysreturnyourseatbackresttotheupright
positionandtheseattiltingtothehorizontalposition
beforeascendingslopes.Neversubjectthelifterpillar
tocontinuoussingle-sidedloading.Theraisingand
tiltingfunctionoftheseatonlyprovidesadditional
restpositions.
Importantinformationregardingspeedreduction
withraisedlifter
–Ifthelifterhasbeenraisedaboveacertainpoint,the
driveelectronicsconsiderablyreducesthespeedof
thewheelchair.Ifspeedreductionhasbeenactivated,
drivemodecanonlybeusedtocarryoutminor
movementsofthewheelchairandnotforregular
driving.Todrivenormally,pleaselowerthelifteruntil
thespeedreductionhasbeendeactivatedagain.
