10.1Transport—Generalinformation

–Ifatableisfitted,alwaysremoveitbeforetransporting
themobilitydevice.
10.2Transferringthemobilitydevicetoa
vehicle
WARNING!
Themobilitydeviceisindangeroftippingover
ifitistransferredtoavehiclewhilethedriveris
stillseatedinthemobilitydevice
–Transferthemobilitydevicewithoutthedriver
wheneverpossible.
–Ifthemobilitydevicewiththedriverhastobe
transferredtoavehicleusingaramp,ensurethatthe
rampdoesnotexceedthemaximumsafeslope(refer
to12Technicaldata,page95
).
–Ifthemobilitydevicehastobetransferredtoavehicle
usingarampthatdoesexceedthemaximumsafe
slope(referto12Technicaldata,page95
),awinch
mustthenbeused.Anattendantcanthensafely
monitorandassistthetransferprocess.
–Alternatively,aplatformliftmaybeused.
–Ensurethatthetotalweightofthemobilitydevice
includingtheuserdoesnotexceedthemaximum
permittedtotalweightfortheramporplatformlift.
–Themobilitydeviceshouldalwaysbetransferredto
avehiclewiththebackrestinanuprightposition,
theseatlifterloweredandtheseattiltintheupright
position(refertoDrivingupanddowngradients).
1.Driveorpushyourmobilitydeviceintothetransportvehicle
usingasuitableramp.
