Ascending
1.Approachtheobstacleorthecurbslowly,head-onandata
rightangle.
2.Dependingonthewheeldrivetype,stopinoneofthefollowing
positions:
a.Inthecaseofcentrallydrivenmobilitydevices:5-10cm
beforetheobstacle.
b.Forallotherdrives:approx.30-50cminfrontofthe
obstacle.
3.Checkthepositionofthefrontwheels.Theymustbeindriving
directionandatrightanglestotheobstacle.
4.Approachslowlyandkeepataconsistentspeeduntiltherear
wheelshavealsopassedovertheobstacle.
Descending
Theapproachtodescendanobstacleisthesameastoascenditwith
thedifferencethatyouneednotstopbeforedescending.
