1. Make the machine safe.
Refer to: Maintenance Position (Excavator End Lowered) (Page 116).
2. Open the hydraulic compartment cover. Swing the cover to fully extend until it locks due to repositioning
of stay bar in the slot provided in the retaining bracket.
